Dreams serve a purpose every night.  There are many kinds of dreams serving many purposes.  What kind do you have?

  1. Psychological?  Subconscious dreams release the pressure from your minds due to the trauma and stress of the day.  They may include pent-up fears locked up in the deep recesses of your mind as far back as infancy/childhood.
  2. Clairvoyant dreams are prophetic in nature.  They give you an inkling of the future.
  3. Wish fulfillment dreams are expressions of dreams come true, our longings realized  in the dream state that hope for manifestation in the waking state.

Not everyone can remember their dreams.  It is better if we could remember our dreams.  Dreams can give us advice or insights.  Dreams can help us in our everyday living. It can solve problems or give answer to the questions in our minds.

How to remember your dreams?

To remember our dream, before sleeping, give your subconscious mind instructions to remember a dream. Say to yourself : ” I want to have a dream. I want to remember my dream.  I am going to remember my dream. “  Keep repeating these sentences to yourself until you fall asleep.  In the morning once you wake up, write down what you remember in your dream.  So, better to keep a dream journal in your bedside.

The Four Ds guidelines for those who wish to embark on a healthy lifestyle:

Diet your way to a healthier life.  While most understand the meaning of diet, in today’s language it actually means eating lifestyle, a more positive and proactive term.  The word diet has negative connotations, because most people think it is synonymous to denial.  What it actually means, in the eating lifestyle connotation, is eating only the food that is good for you.

Be wary of diet fads or quick weight-loss programs.  Anything that promises instant results automatically ensures instant gain in the end.

A good diet plan is one that is gentle to the body (sans use of chemicals or drugs of unknown origin) and guarantees results on a medium to long-term basis.  Before you try any diet plan, consult your physician.

Fight Depression and chase the blues away.  Depression is a condition of the mind, and now, they say also of the spirit which plunges a person into bouts of sadness, antisocial behavior, withdrawal and inactivity.  This affliction can disturb the natural harmony between the body and the mind.  And did you know that depressed people invite physical illness?  Depression puts you on a negative mode and it attracts for you a host of problems, sickness being one of them.  This could be triggered by a fluctuation of hormones (as in menopause), emotional and mental stress, taking a new medication incompatible with your system, etc.  Before you diagnose yourself as certified depressed, try eliminate the reasons for the condition.

Acknowledge it for what it is.  If you have to wallow in self-pity for a few days, do it.  Flow with your pain but give yourself a deadline for suffering.  Then, do something about your problem by undergoing therapy or simply talking to a wise person or a confidante.  Take up a new sport or hobby. Do charity work.  Helping others is good medicine for the soul.  It will certainly lift up your spirits.

Detoxification or detox for short is a process of cleansing the body through a series of food and body care treatments.  It is a regimen one can adopt to rid the body of toxins.  Our bodies can have toxic buildup due to pollution, improper diet, smoking, alcohol consumption, ingestion of preservatives, additives in processed foods, food poisoning, etc.  There are many ways to detoxify the body:  exercise, massage, diet and fasting.  Here are two detox programs you can try:

Detox 1: Fasting

Fasting is the withdrawal of food from our bodies.  This gives our stomachs a rest from all the abuse it has received in the past.
The 24-hour fast includes the ingestion of 8-10 glasses of water and 8 glasses of apple or buko juice and 6 cups of fasting tea every 30 minutes.  End the fast with a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and a light vegetable broth after.  You may want to have an enema* after.   Break your fast gently with fruits and vegetables and a light meal the next day.  Don not attempt to fast without medical supervision.

*Coffee Enema:  Mix the organic coffee in a pot of boiling water.  Boil for 5 minutes.  Strain twice with a cotton cloth or hanky.  Administer the warm solution in the anus, but not before lubricating it and the enema nozzle with castor oil or petroleum jelly.  Hold for 5 minutes, then release.  Use up the solution in 3 equal parts.

Detox 2: Vegetarian

Eat as much fresh veggies and fruits (except avocado, mango, and grapes which are high in fat and sugar) the whole day.  Take 10-12 glasses of water within 24 hours.

Taking care of colon:

Colonics is a series of cleansing treatments for the bowels.  The idea is to unclog and expel all the toxins that have been building up in your colon due to a poor diet and/or abuse.  If your bowel movement is sluggish, you could very well have a toxic build-up which if expelled can compromise your immune system and eventually lead to illness.  There are qualified colonics clinics that can give you the treatment require.  While home treatment can be done, done not proceed without medical supervision.

Also, there are food supplements or herbal products which can clean/cleanse our digestive system.  Personally,  I am using shake off of Edmark, Aloe Vera Gel of Forever Living, RGGL or Reishi Gano and Ganoderma Lucidum capsules of DXN and/or Live Tibicos Mushroom.  I am using them alternatively and they have great effect in me.

Constipation is a result of a poor diet, lack of water, fiber and exercise.  Want an idea of how much bowel you must relieve? Three meals a day plus snacks in between and you only move once a day.  Multiply that by seven days, that’s 21 and you only moved seven times a week.  Get the picture?

If your constipation problem is severe, use an enema for immediate relief.  You can buy an enema kit in the drugstore.  Improve your diet by adding more fiber to it.

Cleansing Enema

You’ll need a pot of warm distilled or mineral water and the juice of half a lemon.  Line on side and administer the enema in three parts (1/3 of the contents at a time).  Try to hold the contents for as long as you can.  Relax for five minutes in between insertions.  Use a lubricant like castor oil or petroleum jelly for easy insertion.

Aloe Relief

Get a piece of aloe vera, skin removed.  Blend it with your favorite juice or plain water in the blender.  Drink daily.  This helps loosen your bowels

Oil Rub

Rub warm castor oil for tree nights over your tummy before bedtime.  Then alternate with olive oil for three nights, followed by castor oil again for the next three nights.  This is good therapy for sluggish bowels.
